JOB TITLE: CMM Inspector
DEPARTMENT: Quality
REPORTS TO: Quality Manager
LOCATION: Van Nuys, California

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Inspect, test and audit incoming raw materials/products including close tolerance, high precision aerospace mechanical components and subassemblies.  Electro-Mechanical inspection may occasionally be required.  

FUNCIONES Y RESPONSABILIDADES:

  • Provide detailed inspection of mechanical components from a variety of production processes including machined, cast, forged, ground or stamped.
  • Complete documentation, reports, or other records of inspection results.
  • Coordinate with Quality Engineers, Purchasing, Manufacturing in resolution/disposition of nonconforming purchased product and verification of Corrective Action.
  • Participate in team activities to facilitate continuous improvement and preventive action efforts.
  • Supervise inspector engaged in inspection activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity

COMPETENCIAS Y HABILIDADES:

  • Ability to closely inspect precision, close tolerance Mechanical components in detail
  • Ability to use, maintain, and calibrate a variety of measurement instruments
  • 3+ years of experience as a CMM Programmer and/or operator, PC-DMIS Preferred
  • Knowledge of ANSI Y14.5 M standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret Engineering Blueprints and Specification documents.
  • Turbomachinery experience beneficial but not necessary
  • Experience with other electromechanical components/subassemblies beneficial but not necessary
  • Computer proficiency necessary, SAP experience beneficial

EDUCACIÓN Y EXPERIENCIA:

  • High school diploma required.  2 year associates degree preferred.
  • Experience with ISO 9001/QS9000/TS16949/ AS9001 beneficial.
  • 5 Years minimum experience in Aerospace, Automotive or other High Technology purchased part verification/testing  with precision, close tolerance Mechanical components or subassemblies.
  • ASQ-CMI, CQIA, CQE certification a plus

JOB TITLE: Help Desk Support Tech
DEPARTMENT: Information Technology (I.T.)
REPORTS TO: IT Director
LOCATION: Van Nuys, California

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:  This is a full time position which reports to the Director of IT, and provides general support for desktop and laptop computers, VOIP phone system, and miscellaneous IT support requests to a user base of ~200 employees located in the Van Nuys area. Off hours on-call work is not required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build, deploy, and support desktop and laptop hardware, software, and VOIP phones.
  • Provide timely response to PC support requests submitted through the IT ticketing system.
  • Provide general troubleshooting for Windows based laptops and desktops, including 3rd party products such as Microsoft Office, Anti-Virus, Adobe products, and other ad hoc software packages.
  • Maintain documentation tracking device inventory and usage.
  • Assists in maintaining a production data center environment.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned

EDUCACIÓN Y EXPERIENCIA:

  • 2 years of completed Information Technology college coursework or equivalent experience highly desired.
  • Understanding of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, Anti-Virus, Adobe products, and general network understanding and knowledge.

Internship Description:

Interns receive an introduction to the firm's businesses and provide a meaningful and important role in supporting its various functions. In addition, our interns are afforded access to Capstone executive leadership and have the opportunity to interact with associates at all levels of the firm. JOB TITLE: Sales and Marketing Administrative Assistant
DEPARTMENT: Sales and Marketing

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:  This position supports the administrative functions of the Sales and Marketing organization in achieving our Corporate Objectives and executing our Corporate Strategy.

FUNCIONES Y RESPONSABILIDADES:

  • Provide administrative support to the EVP, Sales & Marketing.
    • Expense reports, travel, food ordering, restaurant reservations, etc.
  • Assist in researching and gathering market data as needed and compiling data in Excel format.
  • Become proficient in using SalesForce software.
  • Data entry using SalesForce.
  • Assist in ordering and performing inventory counts of marketing giveaways.
  • Assist in marketing administration tasks including project coordination and maintenance of an extensive marketing collateral materials.
  • Assist in coordinating media/tradeshow/networking materials and events.
  • Assist in the development of a Distributor welcome packet including welcome letter, marketing collateral materials, price lists, operators & maintenance manuals, and coordination with Director of Communication for website update.
  • Assist the Training Department in administrative details.
  • Assist the EA to the CEO as needed.
  • Maintaining sales and marketing department office supplies by ordering and restocking as necessary for the sales and marketing department and the restocking of mini-fridges with beverages.
  • Work on ad-hoc projects as directed.
  • Update PowerPoint sales presentations to ensure brand standards, prepare documents for print and distribution.

JOB TITLE: Technical Trainer
DEPARTMENT: Product Management
REPORTS TO: Director, Product Management
LOCATION: Van Nuys, California

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Responsible for addressing complex technical customer issues and management of training services including development, delivery, and continuous improvement of all aspects of Capstone training products and programs.

FUNCIONES Y RESPONSABILIDADES:

  • Manage the creation, development, maintenance and delivery of technical training materials for instructor-led and web-based training, including: presentation materials, instructor guides, course handbooks, hands-on lab exercises, exams, and course evaluations.
  • Interface extensively with colleagues in Customer Service, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales & Marketing to develop and maintain technical expertise on Capstone products, keep abreast of ongoing product development, and accurately assess customer training needs.
  • Maintain all demonstration systems, tools, and applications.
  • Develop and deliver all training materials and presentations in a professional and effective manner.
  • Oversee the development of training material for international staff and offsite courses.
  • Responsible for ensuring training records are maintained within the Company database.
  • Pursue continuous improvement efforts with respect to training content, program structure, and delivery.
  • Create educational material for our business partners and end-users in the form of application guides, whitepapers, and training presentations that clearly describe proper application of the company’s microturbines.
  • Documents methodologies to integrate Capstone products into high-value solutions for customer environments.

  • Must be fluent in English. Knowledge of a second/third language would be and asset (Spanish, Russian, etc.)

EDUCACIÓN Y EXPERIENCIA:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, preferably electronics, or equivalent experience with electronics, electrical, or electromechanical controls is strongly desired.  Will consider practical, hands-on knowledge and experience equivalent in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in testing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and/or repairing equipment in an electrical or gas turbine environment is highly desired.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a technical trainer.
